A certain other watch forum, of which I have been a member, seems to rely for a lot their traffic on a (at least) thrice weeky dose of WRUW threads. As I have cynically pointed out, on more than one occasion, a few of of their established members (no names, but you know exactly who I'm referring to) would appear to have racked up inordinately high post counts by habitually starting such threads, on the stroke of midnight, and religiously posting in them three times a day. Not only that, but the watch photos they post are often the same old 'library' images, recycled over and over. As we all know, WRUW is supposed to stand for 'What Are You Wearing?'. So please, Gentlemen, can we stick to the original literal meaning of the phrase. Please post your WRIST shots of your 7Axx's in this thread - and if it's a 7A38 - I will be wearing this 7A38-706A later today, when I take a couple more photos of it. But in the meantime, here's one of my library shots - just to test uploading a photo:

The longstanding wrist shot of my 7A38-7080 on GasGasBones, which I have had for a few years and can't be bothered to change it. So there.

Well done that man. Nice 7A38-706A you've got yourself there. I'm thinking I probably should have bagged that one myself now. I see you've since put it on a leather strap, as planned. Whose is that you've fitted ? Didn't fancy the one I recommended from TSS Watchworx then Dave? The Aerosport Mk2: http://www.watchworx.co.uk/pages/lwb/elitePop/Aerosport-Mk2.htm in Dark Blue (by Condor) is an almost a perfect match to the 7A38-706A's dial colour. Any excuse to re-post one of my old 'library' images, he says grinning.

Wearing my favourite modded 7A38-7070 this morning .... a rather subtle (even if I say so myself) self-built 'Franken' fitted with a 7A38-7080 709L dial and 7A28-7040/9 hand set:

Seeing as it's a Sunday, I thought I'd 'do a Mac' - and allegedly change my watch every 4 hours. It needs something to brighten up this dull afternoon, so what better than an a bit of Oriental 'bling' - my Orient J39909-80:

L'après-midi, je porte ma presque-nouvelle Yema N8 Flygraf - taille de 43mm. Grande est plus belle - vrai n'est-ce pas ?

Today, it is my newest (just) 7A38. A 7A38-7070 from Finland: a very hefty feel to it, and the brushed/silvered/matte finish is very nice. Off to a big meeting now ...........

I thought on this lovely sunny Sunday afternoon, I might 'go commando'. Probably not a good idea anyway, because even in the shade, and whatever angle I tried, the .... 7A38-6020's domed crystal was picking up reflections of something or other.

Seeing as I hadn't worn it in a very long time, this morning, I dug out my 7A38-7000, and wore it briefly, for a couple of hours: As it's in pretty much mint, very lightly worn condition, I didn't dare keep it on for very long, for fear of marking it ..... and No, before you ask, the SQ clasp was miles away from that brick wall, which I was leaning against to steady the shot !

So on this (typical) dull overcast Sunday afternoon, I though I'd switch to something 'safer', but keeping in a suitably sombre mood .... to another of my favourite self-built 7A38 Franken-watches:
Bit of a 'Bitza' this one. Basically it's a gash 7A38-7029 watch case, which I re-finished (though there are still one or two deeper dings visible in the bezel). Dial is a 709L out of a water-damaged 7A38-7070, fitted with NOS 7A28-7040/-7049 hands. The bracelet is a NOS Seiko p/n Z1020S, which I found was an excellent fit / match for the 7A38-7029 watch case (in the absence of the correct p/n B1171S). Just to make it a little more different, the rebuilt movement I attached the dial to had silvery-white day / date wheels, instead of black. So, in effect, a highly modded 7A38 - but still very subtle and restrained, even if I say so myself
