This 7A38-6010 in average worn condition, was listed late yesterday evening by a US eBay seller, with a laughably optimistic 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of $350 - and currently no option to make an offer. It's being offered through eBay's dysfunctional GSP programme, which potentially adds another $125 to the price - for anyone daft enough to contemplate paying it. According to the seller's description it has an abnormally short bracelet - counting the number of links confirms that. :(

The US eBay seller of that 7A38-6010, with the abnormally short bracelet, ended their original listing early, at the end of June. Presumably the error was in the highly over-optimistic pricing.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253707313147

They unsuccessfully re-listed it August, with the Buy-it-Now price reduced to $275 (item # 263872216830) and again earlier this month. It finally sold yesterday evening, but not for the reduced $275 Buy-it-Now price.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263929011047

WatchCount.com's Look-up tool reveals it finally sold for an offer of $200.

As confirmed by the eBay Purchase History:

Presumably the buyer has girly sized wrists or a good supply of adjustment links.

This well-worn non-running 7A38-6010 was listed very late yesterday evening by a Dutch eBay seller, with a Buy-it-Now price of £99 or the option to make an offer. It's only remarkable for one thing - the condition of the SQ clasp. It's so much better than the rest of the watch, showing virtually no wear. It's obviously a replacement - in the correct finish and style, but evidently off something else. Note the inner part of the Z fold is stamped 'Z', whereas it should be stamped 'G' (from the bracelet's assembly part number G1157F). ;)

Another 7A38-6010, in average worn condition, was listed earlier this evening, by an Italian eBay seller, with a typically Italianate over-optimistic Buy-it-Now price of 380 Euros. I dunno about the seller's claim of  'ottime condizioni'. One of the first things I noticed, while flicking through his photos, was the horribly butchered case-back. :(

That well-worn, non-running 7A38-6010, listed by the Dutch eBay seller, two weeks ago, sold earlier in the week - but not for the £99 Buy-it-Now price.

The Italian eBay seller of that supposedly 'ottime condizioni' 7A38-6010 re-listed it a couple of times, most recently reducing their 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price from 380 down to 350 Euros. Earlier this week, they apparently saw reason and re-listed it as a 10-day auction with an opening bid price of 1 Euro.

The above 10-day Italian eBay auction for a 7A38-6010 ended this morning, with bidding @ 191 Euros after 30 bids.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183592495527

Typically, the auction appears to have been shilled, in the best Italian tradition. If you check the bidding history, not only does the Zero-feedback winning bidder show 100% activity with the seller, but so also do two other bidders, both with a feedback rating of 1. The highest bid by what appears to be a genuine bidder was 160 Euros. No great surprise, it was back on eBay again this afternoon, this time re-listed as a 7-day auction.

I had my eye on that one, but now knowing the auction was shilled I won't touch it.

Yes Jim, shill bidding is unfortunately almost endemic on Italian eBay auctions.

Here's another 7A38-6010, fitted with a plastic 'Tropic' strap, in place of the original bracelet, listed by another regular Italian re-seller cmax-28762 yesterday evening, as a 7-day auction with an opening bid price of 99.90 Euros.

The re-listed 7-day Italian eBay auction for a 7A38-6010 ended a few moments ago, selling for a slightly more realistic 162 Euros after 11 bids. A couple of the suspected shill bidders (with feedback ratings of 0 and 1) from the previous auction made a couple of bids early on. Coincidentally, the winning bidder, who sniped it with 6 seconds to go, also now has 100% activity with the seller. So let's hope it was a genuine sale this time.

This very nice, if not quite mint example of a 7A38-6010 was tantalisingly listed by a Canadian eBay seller, in the early hours of Tuesday morning of this week. It was originally set up as a 5-day auction with an opening bid price of $199.99 (US), or the option of a Buy-it-Now price for $299.99 - which given the apparently excellent condition was frankly way too low in today's marketplace.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254088016777

This is a RARE find beautiful complete set of Stainless Steel Pvd black Seiko 7A38-6010 men's chronograph with boxes and paper all in very NICE condition . 100% original factory Seiko japan made . All signed Seiko including : dial (original mint black ), case ( near mint, black PVD on stainless steel and gold bezel, pusher and , slightly wear only found on the back side the band edges, may not able to see on pictures due to only on oneside and last few links. other part of the case are mint ), movement ( mint tested working checked by our watch maker, ). it come with a photo copy of the manual and original warranty booklet. selling cheap!!!

Everything in the picture come with it. very collectiable timepiece don't miss!!!

This watch keeps good time, no visible lost or gain in 1 hr test period. You need to set by yourself with the manual provided.

The watch size is 37mm without crown, 43.5mm lug to lug.

Due to all my watches are from collectors and mostly vintage timepieces over 20 years, sometimes have been sitting for a long time, only 1hr testing is not enought to find out how well the watch truely preform, therefore a minor cleaning by watch maker is always a good idea.

Don't miss it !!!!

CHECK my feedbacks for numerous satisfied customers and my other auctions here!

Please note Shipping charges are the same regardless of value of the item. The post office do not distinguish between a cheap item Vs Expensive item. PLEASE READ shipping costs section at bottom, I do have combined shipping , i only charge one shipping as many as items you buy at one time, I will refund the extra if it's buy it now.

It actually lasted 4 hours, during which time it received 22 views, before the seller pulled it because of an error in the listing. Presumably the error was in his pricing.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm//254088016777

I suspect it was probably sold off eBay for an undisclosed 'back door' offer. :/

By comparison, there was another 7A38-6010, in average worn condition, listed by a US eBay seller, in the early hours of Monday morning, with an over-optimistic Buy-it-Now price of $425, or the option to make a more realistic lower offer. It's being offered to international buyers through eBay's dysfunctional GSP programme, which potentially adds another $137.50 in charges.

The above average worn condition 7A38-6010, listed by a US eBay seller in January, sold yesterday evening. The seller had reduced his original 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price slightly from $425 to £399, but it actually sold for a somewhat lower figure against a best offer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273666472671

WatchCount.com's Look-up tool reveals it sold for a best offer of $280.

Checking the eBay Purchase History shows that it was the only offer tendered:

It sometimes amazes (and appals) me, the length some would-be profiteering eBay re-sellers go to make a fast buck. This 7A38-6010 in average worn condition, was listed earlier this afternoon by a US eBay seller, with a 'pie-in-the-sky' Buy-it-Now price of $349 (and currently no option to make an offer). This is of course, another case of Déjà Vu - it's exactly the same 7A38-6010 covered in my 2 previous posts, which sold on 9th March for $280.

How can I be certain it's exactly the same watch ? :| The previous seller's photos may not have shown the case-back serial number, which would have proven it more conclusively. But it's not difficult to match the wear to the black chrome coating on the bracelet and clasp. Plus if you click on the link to the eBay Purchase History in my previous post, you'll see that the buyers encrypted ID y***y now has a feedback of 831 - the same as the current would-be profiteering re-seller ellenhny. Oh Yeah, and he's copied the bulk of the previous seller's description almost verbatim.

This 7A38-6010, fitted with a oddly familiar looking non-original generic replacement bracelet, was listed earlier this evening, by a German eBay seller, with a Buy-it-Now price of 300 Euros and currently no option to make an offer.

Sad to admit, but I recognised that non-original replacement bracelet after all this time. The same 7A38-6010 featured a number of times, on page 2 of this thread, when it was listed and re-listed umpteen times on Yahoo Japan, between December 2013 and December 2014. It's academic what it may have finally sold for back then.

It may have taken two months, but once again, that 7A38-6010 re-sold in the early hours of this morning, for the profiteering re-seller's $349 Buy-it-Now price.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143190885214

As confirmed by the eBay Purchase History - to a comparatively novice eBayer.

I hadn't bothered to add any comment to that effect, but the over the last month or so, the would-be German eBay seller of that 7A38-6010, fitted with a non-original replacement bracelet, had revised his listing a few times, including reducing the Buy-it-Now price from his original 'pie-in-the-sky' figure of 300 Euros to 225 Euros.

He'd also uploaded 3 more photos, making one of them his new primary image:

Checking my eBay watching page, I noticed he'd ended the listing this afternoon, because the item was allegedly lost or broken. Yeah, right.

It always saddens me a little, when I see a forum member selling off 7A38's from his collection - for whatever the reason. Late yesterday evening US eBay seller phk656 a.k.a. forum member PHK (Paul in Vegas) listed his 7A38-6010 as a 7-day auction with a sensible opening bid price of $329.95 and the option to make an offer. Incidentally, the wrist shot he included is an older photo, taken in December 2016; one of a set of 3 he posted lower down page 61 of the WRUW thread.

Another 7A38-6010 in average worn condition was listed earlier this morning by a German eBay seller, with a sensible Buy-it-Now price of 235 Euros, or the option to make an offer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202725419483

All functions work properly, but due to unknown service history I can't tell about the state of the movement. But all functions like start/stop and reset work fine also the date quickset. The watch is now running and keeping great time since a year by now and I have measured mutliple chronograph runs and let it run through the register, stopped and reseted at different positions without any issue.

The glass shows slight use so does the watch.

I didn't think that 7A38-6010 would hang around very long at that price (or possibly lower). It sold earlier this afternoon, best I can tell, not for the 235 Euros Buy-it-Now price, but against a best offer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202725419483

Unfortunately that annoying eBay API feed 'glitch' means WatchCount.com look-up tools still can't provide any clue as to what price it may actually have been sold for.

It sure as hell wasn't 800 Euros though !!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202725415683 (earlier listing, only live for 3 minutes).

Belated Update (26th August):

Nearly two months later, using the latest eBay 'BO workaround', I'm finally able to report that 7A38-6010 actually sold for a best offer of 200 Euros. As revealed by this alternative eBay link:
