A rather familiar-looking 7A38-714A, in average well-worn condition, fitted with a notched dark grey shark strap, in place of the original bracelet, was listed by an Italian eBay seller yesterday evening as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of 150 Euros, or the option to make an offer.

In case you didn't recognize it immediately, as I did, this is the same 7A38-714A, case-back serial number 530317, which featured a number of times on the previous page, when it was listed last year, by devious Italian eBay seller cashwatchgame. Translating the current Italian seller's description, it sounds like it's suffering from a recalcitrant sweep second hand, but there may be something else wrong with it besides. Note how the date is halfway through the change @ 7 o'clock.

Checking my eBay watching page, that 7A38-714A, fitted with a shark strap, listed a couple of days ago by the Italian eBay (re)-seller, appears to have sold yesterday evening, for an undisclosed best offer.

The potential buyer appears to have changed their mind. That well-worn 7A38-714A fitted with a shark strap, is back on eBay again, re-listed by the Italian eBay seller, earlier this evening.

This well-worn 7A38-714A, fitted (presumably recently) with a much newer looking non-original generic replacement black PVD bracelet, was listed at lunchtime today by an Australian eBay seller, as a 10-day auction, with an opening bid of $9.50 Au.

The previous Italian 7-day eBay auction for that well-worn 7A38-714A, fitted with a shark strap, ended yesterday evening, without any bids placed.

The seller relisted it with a Buy-it-Now price of 125 Euros, or option to make offer.

It sold earlier this morning for the Buy-it-Now price of 125 Euros.

The 10-day Australian eBay auction for a well-worn 7A38-714A, fitted with a newish looking non-original generic replacement PVD bracelet (subject of my penultimate post), ended a few moments ago, selling for $286 Au. after 27 bids.

Hello everyone I am a newcomer to this watch. Two weeks ago I got the chance to obtain my first 7a38. I bought it from a street vendor for around us$ 26 dollars. :) Appearance is quite good with the original bracelet. It seems battery had died so I asked a shop to replace it. They said that watch had battery leak problem and fixed it by using some plastic bag material. Then it works as it should, around +/-1s per day. I am quite happy to wear it now, but no idea why it's worth so much on internet.

Congratulations on your good fortune - that is a great pick-up, You say you paid the equivalent of approx. $26 USD, which converts to HK$200 Hong Kong Dollars. ;) Many people on here, including myself, would happily have paid $200 USD for that example - even as as a non-runner.
