UK eBay seller oldfella_50 listed another 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 this afternoon, with a Buy-it-Now price of £1100, or the option to make an offer. As with his 'last' previous eBay listing, the primary image is nicely composed, a less than subtle hint of RAF service. From memory this is the 5th time he's listed one (at least from what I could find posted earlier in this thread), which more points to him being a dealer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183645093745

I'm not sure why that one took so long to sell, but checking my eBay watching page, I noticed this 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 listed by UK eBay seller oldfella_50, back in January, had finally sold this morning, for a slightly reduced Buy-It-Now price of £1000. Actually, if you check the eBay Purchase History, the fact that he'd declined every offer he received probably explains why. Obviously holding out for £1000.

With apologies for the double quote - it's just to provide the recent back history.

The photos may be slightly different, but this is the same 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1, listed by UK eBay seller oldfella_50 which supposedly eventually sold last month. He re-listed late this afternoon, evidently due to a non-paying buyer.

With apologies for the triple quote - it's just to provide the last 6 months back history ! Checking my eBay watching page, I noticed that UK eBay seller oldfella_50 had ended his latest re-listing for that 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1, this morning, as item allegedly no longer available. Let's hope it stays that way.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183825538226

With apologies for the quadruple quote !! :P

It's just to carry forward the last 8 months back history from the previous pages.

Earlier this evening, UK eBay seller oldfella_50 listed an all-too-familiar-looking 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1, as a job lot pairing with a civilian 7T27-7A20 Gen. 2. He's asking £1500 as a Buy-it-Now, with the option to make an offer. I'll admit I didn't recognise it instantly (he's uploaded a new primary image), but it only took a matter of seconds to check the photos and confirm that the issue number was 11287/90 - same as the watch he'd first listed on 20th January and finally withdrew on 27th July. I suspect it'll probably take even longer to sell in this job lot pairing format.

This 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 was listed by a UK eBay seller yesterday afternoon, with a typically over-optimistic Buy-it-Now price of £895, or the option to make an offer. Before any short-sighted prospective buyer makes a rash decision, I strongly recommend that they study the photos closely.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401876606046

Although the UK eBay seller had since made a couple of revisions to his listing

.... including screwing around with his photos on two occasions, he appears to have done nothing about the errant upper dial plate and the photos which showed it (including the one I'd posted at the bottom of the previous page) remained.

Again, although he also edited the description (I'm not quite sure where), there was still no mention made, and his original dishonest flippant remarks remained as writ.

I'm trying to be honest and mention every little detail ....

I have attempted to describe the item as best I can.

Regardless, it sold earlier this morning.

Sadly, WatchCount.com still haven't figured out a way to display the true eBay Best Offer sold for prices on their site, but the alternative eBay link they provide shows that it sold for a best offer of £800.

Earlier this evening, regular UK eBay seller skytwang listed another 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1, in average worn condition, with a Buy-it-Now price of £795 or the option to make an offer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143354167110

Last night, UK eBay seller skytwang ended his most recent listing for a 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 as item no longer available - so presumably it was sold off eBay for an undisclosed figure.

At lunchtime today, UK eBay seller foxrecce listed another 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1, with a Buy-it-Now price of £950, or the option to make an offer. Although the listing looks very similar to his previous one, which finally ended on August 17th (see my post higher up this page) and this watch is also 1988 issue, with a badly scratched crystal, it has a different issue / serial number and the 4th photo shows a later dated Seiko UK invoice for a movement service.

UK eBay seller foxrecce's 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 sold earlier this morning.

Not as eBay would have you believe, for the full £950 Buy-it-Now price, but as revealed by the alternative 'True Selling Price' link, for a best offer of £750.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't spend my entire waking hours scouring eBay for 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1's. I also need to eat and sleep sometimes. So occasionally I'll miss the odd one, but they usually get picked up by my various saved searches.

Yesterday evening, just before 10:00 pm, UK eBay seller foxrecce listed another, which appeared to be in better condition than his last two examples, with the same Buy-it-Now price of £950. The listing was live for approximately 45 minutes, during which time it received 43 views, before someone hit the Buy-it-Now button.

As confirmed by the eBay Purchase History:

Evidently, the most recent 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 listed by regular UK eBay seller skytwang (which he'd ended just over a week ago, as allegedly being no longer available) is still available. He re-listed it earlier this morning, with the Buy-it-Now price reduced by a Tenner to £785.

Do keep up that man !!

UK eBay seller skytwang's re-listed 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 sold this afternoon for his slightly reduced Buy-it-Now price of £785.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143388432104

Earlier this evening, he listed another, with a Buy-it-Now price of £830, and currently no option to make an offer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143391152986

As he, like a number of other regular eBay sellers, appears to use a lightly edited version of 'standard template' for his listing descriptions, I'm no longer going to bother copying and pasting it each time - unless I spot something worthy of remark. (That's assuming I do actually bother to read it). :P

Regular UK eBay seller skytwang is clearly on a roll - and he seems to be pitching the prices of his 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1's about right. The previous one sold later yesterday evening for his Buy-it-Now price of £830, only about an hour and a half after making my above post.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143391152986

Earlier this afternoon, he listed another, with a Buy-it-Now price of £815.

Just checking my eBay watching page, I see that the most recent 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1, listed by UK eBay seller upforbargain, sold early this morning, not for their full Buy-it-Now price of £995, as eBay would have you believe, but ....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401893690339

.... as revealed by the alternative 'true selling price' link, for a best offer of £900.

Yesterday evening, regular UK eBay seller britishmilitarysurplus listed another non-running 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1 Head Only, in the same format as his previous two, at the beginning of September: another 3-day auction, with an opening bid price of £300, with the option to make an offer.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401905663345

I won't bother copying and pasting his standard template description, because it's academic. It sold earlier this morning against an offer. Thanks to eBay's deliberate obfuscation of 'Best Offer' selling prices and WatchCount.com being unable to provide a 'workaround' in such situations, your guess is as good as mine. :/

Also, earlier yesterday evening, another UK eBay seller, 24334766, whose previous offerings have featured in this thread, I'm almost certain, listed another 7A28-7120 RAF Gen. 1, as a 7-day auction, with an opening bid price of £800.
